Line-by-line analysis of your manuscript, checking for typos,
punctuation errors, grammatical errors, style errors and so on.
Your text needs only minor modifications and re-writes..

Rates: $15 per 1000 words, plus GST.

Structural Editing

More complicated editing, making sure that the content flow makes
sense, and the text is structured correctly. More changes are required
to bring your text up to scratch. (Please note that research is not
included in this service.)

Structural editing begins at $18 per 1000 words plus GST.

(If I think that more substantial re-writes are required,
let's chat first.)

Send me a sample of your text and I'll edit the first 3000 words for
$25.00 plus GST. That way you'll get a feel for my style, and I can
let you know if I consider the editing to be simple, or complex.

Assessment

That means involves reading your manuscript, and providing a report.
No editing is done – I'll outline areas that need work, such as
continuity, language, grammar and so on.

50,000 words or less – $250 plus GST

Up to 75,000 – $300 plus GST

Up to 100,000 words – $350 plus GST

More than 100,000 words – $400 plus GST,
plus $0.75 for each thousand words over 101,000, plus GST.

Proof reading only

$12 per thousand words, plus GST – checking for typos,
punctuation and grammatical errors.

Preparing a Pitch

I can help you prepare a pitch to a literary agent or publishing house.
Flat fee of $75.00 plus GST.

Acceptable formats: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and HTML files.

Please Note: I do not work on spec (i.e., without payment in exchange
for a promise of future earnings). I also cannot guarantee that your
manuscript will be accepted by an agent and/or published.
